Apple Fritter Bread

Apple Fritter Bread

The taste of a donut in bread form! This baked bread is much healthier than its fried counterpart, but tastes just as delicious. Made with Firebee Cinnamon Honey instead of white sugar, it's bursting with flavor!

Ingredients

Yields 8 Servings
Brown Sugar/Cinnamon Mixture
  • 1/3 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Bread
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. Cinnamon Firebee Honey
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. milk, room temperature
Apple Mixture
  • 2 large apples, peeled and chopped small
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tsp. cinnamon
Glaze
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1-3 Tbsp. milk

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 2

Mix the 1/3 cup of brown sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon together in a small bowl and set aside for later.

Step 3

In a large bowl, beat the Firebee Cinnamon Honey and 1/2 cup softened butter together until smooth and creamy. Add in the eggs, one at a time until blended. Add in the vanilla and milk and continue mixing. Add in the flour and baking powder and mix until it is all combined.

Step 4

Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Mix together the apples with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and add half the apple mixture on top of the batter. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture you created earlier on top of the apples.

Step 5

Repeat with the remaining ingredients - batter, apples, and cinnamon sugar mixture. Take a knife and swirl through the mixture a few times to get it mixed.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the loaf pan to rest for about 15 minutes while you make the glaze.

Step 7

To make the glaze, mix together the powdered sugar and milk, adding the milk 1 tablespoon at a time until you have reached your desired consistency.

Step 8

Remove the loaf from the pan to continue cooling. You can run a knife along the side of the pan to help loosen it and then place the cooling rack on top of the pan and turn it over gently. Once the bread releases from the pan, turn it right side up on the cooling rack to allow it to cool off.

Step 9

Once the bread has cooled down, pour glaze over the top of it and serve! Bread can be served warm or at room temperature.

Enjoy!
