Asian Pork Meatballs with Spicy Honey Sauce
If you love sesame oil, then these meatballs are for you! They have a strong sesame flavor with a hint of heat to give it a kick. Great for appetizers or for dinner!
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs. ground pork
- 2 Tbsp. minced red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 Tbsp. sesame oil
- salt & pepper, to taste
- 2 Tbsp. Firebee Spicy Honey
- 3 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. sweet chili sauce
- 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
Instructions
Step 1
For the meatballs, combine all the ingredients together and form balls. Place on a baking sheet until ready to cook.
Step 2
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a small amount of oil, fry the meatballs in a large skillet until browned.
Step 3
Remove the meatballs from the pan and place back onto the baking sheet. Place into the preheated oven and cook for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
Step 4
In the same skillet you used to cook the meatballs, combine the sesame oil, garlic, and ginger and saute for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
Step 5
Add in the vinegar, Firebee Spicy Honey, and sweet chili sauce and bring to a boil. Add in cornstarch and whisk until combined and thickened.
Step 6
Add in cooked meatballs and coat with sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes until meatballs are coated in the sauce.
