Breakfast Eggrolls
Breakfast Egg Rolls
A unique and portable breakfast food for those mornings when you're on the go. Make these up and freeze them for a quick start to your day.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground pork sausage
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 4 c. milk
- 3 c. shredded hash browns
- 4 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. Firebee Spicy Honey
- 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- egg roll wrappers
- cooking spray
Instructions
Step 1
In a large skillet, brown the sausage and crumble it. Remove 1/2 cup of the sausage to use for the filling and place it into a large bowl.
Step 2
Add in the flour and stir until the flour is absorbed by the grease. Slowly add in your milk, stirring as you go, until the gravy has thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste and keep the heat on low.
Step 3
Mix the eggs and Firebee Spicy Honey together until scrambled. In another skillet, cook them until set. Add to the large bowl with the reserved sausage.
Step 4
Add the hash browns and cheese to the eggs and sausage and stir together until combined. Stir in 1/2 cup of the reserved gravy and season everything with salt and pepper.
Step 5
To make the egg rolls, lay out the wrapper and place about 1/3 cup of mixture in the center. Fold over one half and then fold in the sides. Spread the edges with water and continue to roll up. (See the back of the egg roll wrappers for a visual guide)
Step 6
Spray the egg rolls with cooking spray and bake in a 425 degree oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with the gravy and enjoy!
