Carne Asada Fries

Carne Asada Fries

Made for sharing, but who wants to when they taste so good? If you keep them all for yourself, no one has to know. Your secret is safe with us!

Yields 4-6 servings

  • 16 oz. bag french fries, frozen
  • 1 lb. skirt steak
  • 1/4 c. Bet Your Asada Seasoning
  • pico de gallo, optional
  • guacamole, optional
  • sour cream, optional
  • cheddar cheese, optional

Step 1

Trim your skirt steak of any visible fat and then coat it on both sides with the Bet Your Asada Seasoning. Place it in a large zipper bag and allow it to marinate for 2 hours or up to overnight.

Step 2

When you're ready to cook, remove your steak from the fridge and allow it to come to room temperature while you prepare your fries and toppings.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and lay out your fries in a single layer on a large baking sheet.

Step 4

Cook the fries according to the directions on the bag for about 25 minutes. While those are cooking, heat up a large cast iron skillet over medium to high heat.

Step 5

Cook the steak to your desired doneness and then allow it to rest for about 10 minutes. Chop the steak into small pieces to make it easier to eat with your fries.

Step 6

When everything is done, assemble your fries by topping them with cheese, steak, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, or any additional toppings you like.
