Cherry Bread
This Cherry Bread makes the perfect Valentine's Day dessert or snack! Made with Firebee Elderberry Honey and maraschino cherries, these tastes combine for a flavor explosion!
Ingredients
- 2 c. all purpose flour
- 1 jar maraschino cherries, drained - reserve juice
- 3/4 c. Firebee Elderberry Honey
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 2 eggs, large
- 1/2 c. maraschino cherry juice
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9" x 5" loaf pan. Set it aside for later.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add in the softened butter and combine until completely blended.
Step 3
Next, add in the eggs, vanilla, Firebee Elderberry Honey, and cherry juice to the flour mixture. Stir until combined.
Fold in the cherries gently.
Step 4
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
Step 5
Make the cream cheese frosting by combining the cream cheese, butter, and milk together with an electric mixer. Add in the powdered sugar until the desired consistency is reached.
Step 6
Spread the frosting over the cooled bread and top with sprinkles if desired.
