Step 1

Dough:

Mixed and knead all dough ingredients together by hand, with a mixer, or in a bread machine.

Knead until smooth and let rise, covered, for 45-60 minutes.

Step 2

Topping:

Heat and stir the sugar, honey, and butter in a small saucepan until sugar dissolves.

Spread into a greased 8" square pan, sprinkle with nuts, and set aside.

Step 3

Filling:

Stir together the butter, sugar, cinnamon, and flour to make a spreadable paste.

Set aside.

Step 4

 Constructing:

After the dough has risen, deflate and roll into a 10 x 12" rectangle.

Spread the filling over the dough and sprinkle on raisins.

Starting with the long side, roll the dough into a log and pinch the edge of the lengthwise seam together.

Cut into 9 equal slices.

Step 5

Constructing:

Place the buns cut side down in the prepared pan. Flatten each bun until they're nearly touching each other.

Cover and let rise until light and doubled in size, about one hour.

Step 6

Baking:

Preheat oven to 375 F 

Bake the buns for 30 to 35 minutes, until they are a deep, golden brown, covering with foil for the last 15 minutes.

Remove them from the oven and immediately invert the pan onto a large plate. Remove the pan scrape an extra toppings onto the buns.

Let cool 20 minutes, and enjoy!
