Creamy Cajun Chicken Soup

A delicious and creamy soup made with Cajun seasoning, pasta, and chicken! 


Yields 6-8 servings

  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. & 1 tsp. Forni-Cajun Seasoning, divided
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. onion, diced
  • 1 c. celery, diced
  • 1 c. bell pepper, diced
  • 4 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 6 c. chicken broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 8 oz. ditalini pasta
  • 1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 c. parmesan, grated
  • 2 green onions, diced


Step 1

In a large pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add in the diced chicken and the 1 tsp. of Forni-Cajun seasoning. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes, or until cooked through. 

Step 2

Set the chicken aside and then melt the butter in the same skillet. Add your diced veggies and cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes. Add the garlic the last minute of cooking. Add the chicken back in.

Step 3

Add the chicken broth, can of diced tomatoes, and pasta to the pot and bring to a boil. Cook until the pasta is tender, about 10-15 minutes. 

Step 4

When the pasta is tender, add in the heavy cream and parmesan. Turn off the heat, and stir to combine.

Step 5

Serve immediately, topped with additional parmesan and green onions.
