Crockpot Spicy Jambalaya

Slow Cooker Spicy Jambalaya

The perfect dinner for a cool fall evening that you can put in the crock pot before heading to work and it's almost ready when you get home! Adjust the spice to your liking by adding more or less Firebee Spicy Honey and cayenne pepper. 

Ingredients

Yields 8 Servings
  • 2 large celery stalks, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 16 oz. smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1/4 c. Firebee Spicy Honey
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1/2 Tbsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (or more for extra spice)
  • 1/2 Tbsp.  freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 (15 oz.) canned diced tomatoes 
  • 1/2 c. fresh parsley, roughly chopped
  • 4 c. vegetable broth
  • 2 c. cooked white rice

Instructions

Step 1

Add all the ingredients except for the rice to your Slow Cooker. Set on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. 

Step 2

About an hour before you are ready to serve your jambalaya, prepare 2 cups of instant rice on the stove. 

Step 3

Add the instant rice to your crock pot and stir it in. Allow it to sit and soak up the juices for around 45 minutes. 

Step 4

Serve hot with extra Firebee Spicy Honey for added spice and sweetness! Enjoy!
