Earth Day Cookies

Celebrate Earth Day by making these soft, chewy colored sugar cookies! 

Ingredients

Yields 12-14 servings

  • 1/2 c. Firebee Raw Honey
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • blue and green food coloring
  • small heart sprinkles

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, combine the butter, Firebee Honey, and sugar.  

Step 3

Add in the vanilla, flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until well combined.

Step 4

Divide the cookie dough into 2 bowls and add blue food coloring to one bowl and green food coloring to another. (Use as much as needed to achieve the desired color)

Step 5

Refrigerate the cookie dough for about 20 minutes. Take a half dollar sized piece from the blue dough and roll it with the same amount from the green dough to form a ball. Be sure not to over mix and allow your colors to blend together.

Step 6

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until they are lightly browned on the bottom. Sprinkle with the red hearts and enjoy!
