Firebee Chocolate Honey Granola

A healthy snack you can feel good about eating and sending with your kids as they head back to school. Serve it up with some yogurt, as a cereal, or even just by the handful - it's delicious any way you eat it!

Ingredients

Yields 6 cups
 
  • 4 c. old fashioned oats
  • 1 c. slivered almonds
  • 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 c. melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 c. Firebee Chocolate Honey
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2/3 c. shredded coconut
  • 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips


Instructions

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, stir together oats, almonds, cocoa powder, and sea salt.

Step 3

In a small mixing bowl, stir together the melted coconut oil, Firebee Chocolate Honey, and vanilla until combined. Pour into the oat mixture and stir until evenly combined.

Step 4

Spread the granola out evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Then remove from the oven, give the mixture a good stir, then sprinkle the coconut evenly on top. Bake for 5 more minutes  or until the coconut is lightly toasted and golden.

Step 5

Remove baking sheet from the oven and transfer to a wire baking rack. Let cool until the granola reaches room temperature. Then stir in the chocolate chips and enjoy!
