Firebee Hawaiian Sliders

Firebee Hawaiian Sliders

A fresh take on a traditional slider, these have bacon, BBQ Sauce, and grilled pineapple!

Ingredients

Yields 12 Sliders
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 package Hawaiian dinner rolls
  • 2/3 c. Firebee BBQ Sauce, divided
  • 3 Tbsp. panko bread crumbs
  • 3/4 tsp. Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 3 slices Swiss cheese, quartered
  • 1 can pineapple rings, reserve juice
  • 6 slices bacon
  • lettuce - washed and torn into small slider sized pieces
  • Mariana sauce (optional)

Instructions

Step 1

Combine 1/3 cup Firebee BBQ Sauce with 2 Tbsp. of pineapple juice in a small bowl. Slice 4 pineapple rings into thirds and add them to the BBQ Sauce mixture. Allow them to marinade while you prepare the burgers.

Step 2

Combine the hamburger meat with the bread crumbs, 1/3 cup of Firebee BBQ Sauce, and Montreal Steak Seasoning in a large bowl. Shape the mixture into 12 equal sized, small patties.

Step 3

Cook the bacon in a large pan. Remove the bacon once it has reached your desired doneness and set aside to drain. You'll need to break each piece into thirds.

Step 4

Using the same pan, cook the patties about 5 minutes per side, or until a meat thermometer reaches 160 degrees. Remove the patties and pour out the grease.

Step 5

Cut your Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and add to the pan, toasting them on the inside. You will likely need to toast the tops and bottom separately.

Step 6

Once the rolls are toasted, remove the pineapple from the marinade with a slotted spoon and add to the pan (do not discard marinade). Allow it to cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until caramelized. Remove from pan and begin assembling your sliders.

Step 6

Separate your rolls and spread the remainder of the BBQ marinade on them. Add your burger, bacon, Swiss cheese, and lettuce. Top with the cooked pineapple and the top bun. You will likely want to secure it with a large toothpick and then they are ready to serve!

Enjoy!
