Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Easy to make and delicious! This swirl bread is great for eating plain, or for French Toast! 


Yields 1 loaf
  • 2 Tbsp. Firebee Cinnamon Honey
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 packet rapid rise yeast
  • 2 1/2 c. bread flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. white sugar


Step 1

Mix the Firebee Cinnamon Honey and water together in a large bowl. Add the yeast, but do not stir. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it is foamy. 

Step 2

Add the oil, salt, and flour and mix by hand, adding more flour as necessary until the dough forms a large, soft ball. Knead it for about 5 minutes on a floured work surface.

Step 3

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and brush the top with some extra oil. Cover the bowl with a damp towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour. It should be doubled in size when it's ready.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a loaf pan.

Punch down the dough and then roll it out into a large rectangle about the width of your loaf pan. The number of rolls will depend on how large you roll it. The thinner you roll it, the more swirls you will get.

Step 5

Mix the 2 Tbsp. of cinnamon and 1/2 cup of sugar together and sprinkle evenly over the surface of the dough. Roll it up tightly, starting on the long side.

Step 6

Place the roll into the loaf pan, squishing it in as needed. Bake for 30 minutes, or until it sounds hollow when you tap on the top. 

Allow the bread to cool and then slice and enjoy!
