Italian Beef Sandwiches

This flavorful dinner cooks in the crockpot all day to allow you time to do other thing, but tastes like you spent all day cooking it! 


Yields 6 Servings
  • 3-4 pounds chuck roast
  • 2 c. beef broth
  • 1 packet dry Italian dressing mix
  • 2 tsp. Fuhgeddaboudit Seasoning
  • 1 (16 oz) jar pepperoncini peppers, sliced, with juice
  • hoagie buns
  • provolone cheese slices


Step 1

In a large skillet, sear the roast in hot oil on all sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Add the roast to the crock pot.

Step 2

Sprinkle the roast with the dry Italian dressing mix and Fuhgeddaboudit Seasoning. Add in the beef broth, sliced pepperoncini peppers, and 1/2 cup of the juice.

Step 3

Cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours. Shred the beef and allow it to soak up the juices. Add 2 slices of provolone cheese to each bun and top with the shredded up beef. You can use the remaining au jus for dipping.
