Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

Made with Firebee Spicy Honey, these wings bake up crispy and delicious in the oven! 


Yields 30-36 Wings
Chicken Wings
  • 3 lbs. chicken wing drummettes and flats
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
Honey Lemon Pepper Basting Sauce
  • 1/4 c. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 c. Firebee Spicy Honey
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice, fresh squeezed
  • 2 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
Lemon Pepper Dipping Sauce
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice, fresh squeezed
  • Zest of one lemon
  • 1 tsp. coarse ground pepper


Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees and prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray a wire rack with non stick cooking spray and place on top of the pan.

Step 2

Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and paprika in a small bowl. Pat the chicken wings dry and toss them in the flour mixture, a couple at a time, before placing on the wire rack.

Step 3

Bake for 15 minutes and then turn the heat down to 425 degrees. Continue cooking for an additional 15 minutes.

Step 4

While the wings are cooking, mix up the basting sauce in a small saucepan. Add together the butter, Firebee Spicy Honey, lemon juice, and lemon pepper seasoning and heat over medium until everything is melted. Set aside until the wings have finished their 30 minutes in the oven.

Step 5

Remove the wings from the oven and dip them in the basting sauce before putting them back in to cook for another 10 minutes. Brush with the remaining basting mixture as they come out of the oven. 

Step 6

Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, zest, lemon juice, and pepper together to make a refreshingly cool sauce. Serve with the chicken wings and enjoy!
