Pancakes & Sausage on a Stick

Portable and delicious, be ready to make these for your kids on a regular basis!

Ingredients

Yields 20 servings

  • 20 brown & serve breakfast links
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Firebee Cinnamon Honey, plus more for serving
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2 tsp. vanilla 
  • 1 Tbsp. syrup, plus more for serving
  • canola oil for frying
  • wooden skewers or corn dog sticks

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat your oil to about 375 degrees. We used a small fryer.

Step 2

Cook the sausage links until they are browned and set aside while you make your batter.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine the flour, Firebee Cinnamon Honey, baking powder, salt, milk, egg, butter, vanilla, and 1 tablespoon of syrup together to make a thick batter.

Step 4

Pour the batter into a large mouth cup to make dipping easier. Place the sausage links on the sticks and set aside.

Step 5

Working about 2 at a time, dip the sausage into the batter and then into the preheated oil. I held one in each hand and they took about 45 seconds to turn a nice, golden brown. 

Step 6

Continue until all have been cooked. Serve with extra Firebee Cinnamon Honey or syrup for dipping.
