These delicate pastries are made in just a few minutes and bake up flaky and delicious!
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp. water
- 4 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 c. canned pumpkin puree
- 1/3 c. Firebee Pumpkin Spice Honey
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Set aside for later.
In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin, Firebee Pumpkin Spice Honey, and pumpkin pie spice until combined.
Lay out the puff pastries and spread the pumpkin filling all over the tops, spreading to the edges. Roll up starting from one edge, as tightly as you can.
Once you have a roll formed, starting about 1" down, cut down the seam, all the way through until you have 2 pieces that meet at the top. Don't cut all the way through the top. They should be connected at one end.
Take the long pieces and twist them before folding over each other like a braid. Take the braid and wrap it back to the top to make a knot and seal it by pressing the ends together. Place on the baking sheet.
Repeat for the remaining 3 twists and then brush with egg wash. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
While the twists are cooling, mix up your glaze by whisking together all the ingredients. You can add additional milk if you'd like the icing to be more liquified.
Drizzle the glaze over the cooled pumpkin twists and enjoy!
