Spicy Honey Firecracker Meatballs

Add some bang to your Fourth of July with these Firecracker Meatballs! Guaranteed to add some heat with the spicy glaze compliments of Firebee Spicy Honey and red pepper flakes, it will make this 4th one to remember! 

Ingredients

Yields 4 servings
Meatballs
  • 2 lbs. ground chicken or turkey
  • 4 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
Glaze
  • 1 cup Firebee Spicy Honey
  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes (or more to taste) 


Instructions

Step 1

Position 2 racks near the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine all the meatball ingredients and mix together with your hands. Make sure not to overmix, or your meatballs will be dry.

Step 3

Roll into balls, about 3 tablespoons per ball and place on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 11-13 minutes or until meatballs are completely cooked.

Step 4

Remove meatballs from oven once cooked. Mix red pepper flakes into honey and use as a glaze to brush onto the meatballs. Place back into oven for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Remove from oven and enjoy! You can use the additional glaze right before serving or as a dipping sauce.
