Spicy Honey Jalapeño Cornbread

A deliciously moist bread, with a bit of spice to round out the flavor! Watch out, it's addictive! 


Yields 12 Servings
  • 1 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 large egg, plus 1 cold
  • 1/4 c. Firebee Spicy Honey
  • 1/3 c. butter, melted
  • 2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and diced


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 11" x 7" baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients until combined. Create a well in the center and add in the rest of your ingredients, just until combined - do not overmix. 

Step 3

Add batter to your prepared pan and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
