Sweet Honey 4th of July Cheesecake Bars

The perfect sweet treat for Independence Day BBQ's! These delicious and simple cheesecake bars are so fun to make. Each batch will have a unique swirl, so no two cheesecakes will ever look the same! Kids love to create their own patterns, and you can even experiment with different colors!



Ingredients

  • 30 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 3-8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Firebee Raw Honey
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • Red, white, and blue food coloring


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Line a 9x13 pan with foil.

Step 2

We recommend crushing Oreos (cream included) in a food processor. Pulse until the cookies become crumbs.

Step 3

Stir butter into crushed Oreos until evenly mixed. Press the mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared pan to create the curst. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and cool.

Step 4

Place a large baking sheet filled halfway with water on the bottom rack of the oven. Allow oven preheat again.

Step 5

Beat the cream cheese, sugar, and honey until combined. Add the sour cream, vanilla, and flour and beat again.

Step 6

Add the eggs and beat gently until just mixed. Be careful to not over mix.


Step 7

Divide the batter evenly into 3 bowls. Leave one bowl white. In the other two bowls, use red and blue food coloring to create your desired hue.

Step 8

Spoon the mixture evenly over the crust, alternating the colors. Drag a butter knife through the batter up and down and back and forth to create a swirl pattern. Do not over mix.

Step 9

Place the pan on the oven rack above the pan of water. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Remove from the oven immediately and place on a wire rack.

Step 10

Let the cheesecake cool on the counter for 1 hour, then refrigerate for 4-6 hours to set.

Step 11

Cut into squares and serve with whipped cream and sprinkles, and an extra Firebee drizzle! Enjoy!
